All chrome has been re-chromed all strips have been re chromed and are 98% perfect one dent from a bloody car opening its door would only need rolling out with a piece of dowel, Thats both bumpers, surrounds, grill, the back bumper will need doing for some reason a small rust spot has developed near the number plate. not a big issue. Bear metal respray very good job, a couple of little blemished (1) around the window when it was replaced, (2)some paint has lifted inside the doors when the chrome was fitted it pinched the paint and let water in - again not a big problem, (3) a small issue near back window again the chrome pinched the paint and the paint has lifted size of a ten cent piece not a big issue have had a quote of about $800 to fix - the paint is metallic silver Total engine re build (318 Poly V8) runs extremely well done great engine set up for unleaded 7k from memory 295 fitted under the rear, new tyres on the front, dropped 3 inched all round - minimal tyre rub, all new shocks fitted Total brake re build (still all drums) - disc would be better ........... Gear box 727 is in excellent condition just been service and a new linkage seal, and sump gasket fitted Total new interior Black only, shit hot with a skull them, new steering wheel, CD fitted with remote, 4 speakers and 15 inch subbie with a amp hidden between the boot and back seat. Central locking to avoid key access is fitted New steering box (re build), front end has been rebuilt, New rubbers all round New Front screen fitted less than 6 months ago the car is fully tinted (this is not legal) but looks shit hot The diff needs some work - it is Ok but noisy needs a new center fitted all wheel bearings have been replaced, Tail shaft and unis are sound, diff cost 1k (323 dana) Boot is lined, neat and new rubbers Shit hot car pulls chicks even had one sit there pretty arse on it for a photo in Tassie hot road see pic! This wagon has come up above our expectations for a parts hauler & is going to turn heads bloody everywhere it goes! So Please follow us in the next week & a half till it's total completed (for now anyway a 360 is yet to be dropped into the engine bay) & then next project starts! 7am in the Morn off to get the exhaust fitted!! Looks bloody great huh? Gotta love trade plates open pipes at 7am neighbours must love us!! :) YES this is what we started with! Door trims have even had new chrome tape applied to the factory strips the grey carpet & blueprint base makes a difference though! New Chrysler badge installed & looks great!!!! Straight from Chrysler USA! mags have been given a quick polish not much room left huh? Yep their a nice size! 245's! Nice reflection huh? Another badge shot it looks better than we thought it would!! Well we didn't even get to Tamworth (blew a head gasket!) We did however win the Hard luck award for it! The wagoon has been imortilised forever on Tamworth II National T shirts, Prizes & DVD! How cool is that?? The Plates have arrived!!!! CMTONV = CM To ENVY!!! Nice touch huh? Only the Chrysler Guys & Girls will know what these mean! Bonnet all polished up & looking very neat! another cool side shot! Mean looking isn't it? Old Carpet has been cut out & removed New Speaker type carpet (hard wearing) Is now on instead of Old blue crap! Plus it matches the Charcoal carpet as used currently! ITS ON THE GROUND AGAIN!!!!!!! It'll be about 2 inches lower tomorrow! :) It looks even meaner in the flesh & a lot meaner Now it's not hanging in the bloody air! Dark Tink in low light ain't it??? :) This Project has turned out better than we thougth it would! Oh the Regal Stainless wheel arch trims have been added to help break up the blue a bit Plus we've also opted to put on the Factory mud flaps! (helps keep crap off the car as it's a daily driver after all!) And Looks good with them too! It just looks sooo bloody good!! :) The NOS fuel splash Guard has been polished to a mirror finish! Gotta love the pearl!!! Hearse Tint!!!!! Looks bloody great & it's only 20% Before a quick polish & after!! We spannered it down just a bit lower than we'd like it It looks Farkin unbeliveable... But a bit to low for the country roads & drives here & there! :( we had 140mm clearance under the spoiler or 5 1/2 inches in the old scale but K frame had 105mm (without front seats, driver etc... So its back up about an inch now! Looking cool or what!??? Its Just so bloody close now!!! How Friggin' mean does this thing look?? It looks great just sitting there! Clean huh? Not long to go now! It has ran away through the paddock!!! Gotta love the pearl!! Really looking mean now!!! Kevs wearing the earmuffs due the open pipes!! Exhaust gets done soon! Bright lights!!! Very Nice! A quick wash & it's time to polish the roof!

]]> Fri May 27 2005 How to install a Borg Warner Disk Brake Diff' http://GPRS.fotopic.net/c512880.html We thought we'd throw all our Rear disk setup pics into another section as a "How To Do" for all you Chrysler owners That want your old girl to stop when you need it too & fast!!! My only advice is to buy either a XE/XF (wagon, Panel van or Ute All leaf diff's unlike the sedans) & go for the LSD for the few extra bucks! Aslo buy a Ratio that suits your needs eg: we wen't for the 2.77 ('cause we had it laying around for one) But the high ratio suits our needs ie country running over long distances 700+ kms a day every few weeks!! But if your in the Burb's then I'd stick with a factory ratio of 2.92-1 or lower most of the XF utes has 3.27-1 great take offs with ease but hgher rev's on the 100 zones etc.. So just work out your needs first before buying that bargain! If your buying a LSD might pay to get it checked out b4 you buy it & servied b4 it goes into you beast no point having a bolt go through the rear case because it was loose (been there done that & still made it home!) :) Also XE/F rotors are about $20 ea cheaper than the XD's that we used but Ebay has some great sellers on there & we got the rear rotor (Genuine Aust made DBA new in box) & a set of Bendix pads for the rears for $105.00 delivered! Not bad when Bursons wanted $97 for the rotor alone & Repco $119 trade price for both of em! So yeah do your homework & shop around for the best prices for replacement components! We'll have pics & decriptions up tomorrow 25/04/05 for the Park brakes cables etc... Our New diff a 2.77 BW LSD Ford ZJ Fairlane (also XD) Diff The ford diff is 6mm wider at the springs & 17mm wider in the track than the (CM) Chrysler's We gave it a quick tighten & checked for wear (of which there was None!!) Plus fresh oil etc.. Then we painted it in PPC POR-15 hamer tough gloss black! We started with a set of Ford 1.5 inch lowering block's (we had them laying around!) find the middle then cut from 0 to 5 mm taper The 5mm taper is for the front to get the pinion drive angle Up as per Valiant & not the XD Then Drill a 13mm (1/2 Then trial fit it Should just drop straight onto the springs! The original U bolts most likely won't fit! So get some New ones instead! The plates are put in with the high side facing the front due to the diff angle difference & then grab a set of new “U” bolts & install! 5 mm incline clearly seen here Trail fitment of calipers etc to check for space! All good! :) 4 wheel disks & 1/2 You'll have to get someone to modifiy the park brake levers Modified Val / ford hybrid park brake levers on left & XD one on the right! Fresh coat of black for the backing plates VHT Real Orange!! Bright huh? Both front & rear Calipers we're rebuilt with New pistons, seal kits, hoses & New Pads all way around (VJ Calipers on front for better brakes again!) Our Rear disk brake conversion is finished! The top hose is New PBR XD chassis to diff brake hose & bottom one is custom 24 Because the hose has been made with the same end it's clipped to factory mount on the left hand side CM has 2 chassis brake mounts! Saving heaps of time!! DOT approved brake hose extension (used to run Val steel line (RHS) to Ford Diff hose on LHS Will work perfectly! Hose has to be clipped to chassis yet though! Now the disk rear setup is complete! Piss easy to do really!!

We've also planning about another 20 different custom touches from here out, the stereo system will be finished & tried in a few days time. We'll be doing a great shakedown run in about 3-4 weeks time to Tamworth! Freshly polished panels Now all sides are lookin' great!! Quarter Panels are polished & looking great! Constant smooth reflections on every panel! Great swirl free finish :) Those Quarters are straighter than the factory every produced!!! Check out those smooth lines!!! :) Straight & clean Ain't it?? Dash & tweeters installed (They look great & will sound excellent!) Dash has been polished & the pics don't do it justice!! Barake lines have been painted & installed Modified Charcoal canister in place TEFBA Radiator Filter these are really good value for money Nice clean fuel tank installed Fresh sound deadner in wheel arches Door sills have been Sound deadned as it's a daily driver & it'll stop stone chips & road noise! even the lower rear qtrs got a quick blast of deadner! Column installed & wiring nearly all hooked up! Trans cooler all hooked up Fibre glassed kick panels ready to be trimmed, carpeted & installed! Trial fitted kick panel (check out that reflection in the dash!!!) Looks good huh? Doesn't protrude to far into the cabin either! Glass ready to be covered with Looking really good Nice Huh? Finished & installed Passenger side Kick panel! (just got to fit the speaker cover) Tailgate has just had it's first polish (Menzerna) & swirl remover applied!!! It'd be The Best & Easiest polish we've ever used!! No Swirls anywhere just gloss!!! (thanks Ray Webb Jr) The decals are 75mm dia' the biggest ones made up for Ray Yet!! They look friggin' great don't they?? They'll finish the mags off nicely! A/C Pump intake & extractors bolted up! Our Nose cone Chrome is back from Dandenong Bumper Bars aka Vinny's in Bennet St Dandy In Vic Font trim pieces came up a treat! The back tailgate sections were the worst for pitting etc.. & they look friggin' great now!! Front Guard has been polished Nice huh? Nothing but Pure Gloss!!!!!

It's Basically due to being stuffed around by a few parts suppliers Inc Repco Bairnsdale & True fit carpets who had taken 2 weeks to deliver a set of Molded carpets to us!! (We'll be dealing with Knox carpets from here on out!) Basically in 12yrs of being in this hobby we've never been treated so poorly by any company! & a really big thumbs down to both companies as it's been a totally Piss poor effort to resolve or fix these problems! On a lighter Note: Our Trimmer has done a great Job as usual on completing the back seat "bucket seat" conversion, for all those interested Our trimmer is K & L Murphy Motor Body Trimmers In Bairnsdale in East Gippsland, Vic & their Number is (03) 5152 4704 & yes both Keith & Brad will look after any of your trimming needs & at a great Price! Rear Air foil in finished Clearcoat top & bottom! New sound deadener being installed dash goes in tomorrow! New door seals installed along with baily channels etc.. windows go in also tomorrow! Nice freshly polised stainless trims installed CL's has stainless Cm had chrome which rusts away trust me!) Same thing again other side! Speaker panel finished awaiting to be covered in carpet Back window tinted 20% metal film nice huh? Fun house reflection time! Chrysler badge placement is to be in original spot & new exteriour vinyl is put back as per factory to break up the tailgate CM regal rear bucket foam on wagon base,sedan's back seats are 6 inches wider than the wagons as the sedans have a fixed back! Take the armrest out & viola instant bucket sets in a Wagon! Neat huh? trimmer is working on modifying the velour currently over the long weekend for us! He's great you'll see his work soon in the new velour headliner! Back of the rear seat being covered in speaker type carpet Looks good is easy to clean & looks a shit load better than chipped / scratched paint plus will insulate etc.. Fibre glass rollers are great for this stuff for curbs & grooves as you can see! totally finished back seat section in Carpet Looks Pretty good huh? Power steering box has been put in Oh My god whats that doing in there????? Progress!!!!! :) another shot of the 265 Hemi Nice New Velour Hoodlining cost $220 for 9 feet cut as per original (Told you Our trimmer was good to us!) Fitted hoodlining it looks a bloody treat! Of course we had to polish under the rear airfoil before fitting it then fit the hoodlining over the holes covering it! Another Nice shot of the window tint & the grey velour again Another hoodlining shot (think Kev's happy with my fitment!) :) Another hoodlining shot I think it's official he's in love with this Car! Speaker panels ready to be fixed, sealed & carpeted one of our window fitters In east gippsland (thought he deserved a plug for getting the rear windows in! Thanks again Roger YEAH!!!!!!!!!! They're in safe & sound!!! they have been bonded into place as the original rubber just wouldn't allow us to refit them as per Chrysler did! The Rubber is the shittest design both myself & 3 other windscreen installers have ever seen! But they do look good now they're in! The Prototype front spoiler sent to us by our 'glass supplier Thanks Paul, Should look great once it's been painted! It's around 6 inch wide Should be great looking when finished! This spoiler is as per the Original Coke Denium Looks Mean huh? We're very happy with this beast it's just a pity it won't be finished for another week! Nice tint I thought, dark enough without going nuts! Rest of 3 layer sound proofing in (its great stuff & very well priced too!) Pre Finished speaker panel (yet to be carpeted) The Regal's engine bits get a fresh coat of black Nice new Front spoiler in etch primer ready to paint & clean tomorrow Fitted rear and another pic theres a Back seat under that window tint somewhere!!! Amp layout and again Had to remove jack tiedown for the amps to fit neatly jack will now be relocated at the back instead! Aircon & fan unit installed now the Carpets are finally here (2 weeks & 1 Day!!) & in! engine bay loom back installed, & A/c installed then removed along with wiper motor for detailing (man Kev was pissed with me) But they look sooo much better now! The mighty 16x8 Nice New Blue & black 14 The front Kick panels are assembled then given a coat of resin (didn’t have any plain cloth so an old bed sheet was used!), Bonnet in it’s base coat is put on & aligned, scoop & lock downs in place (nearly bolted down full time!) I really can't wait for this to be finished!!!! Trail fit of the 6.5 75mm depth of the speaker & only 17mm protrudes! I made these with a sharp cutout so they miss my size 14's!! My extractors!! Trail fitment of the Lockdown kit! My Chrgers Door hinges (two of the wagon we're stuffed!) Stainless bolts used to make it a bit more differnt Engine bay copped another fresh coat after pic so all washers are now body color! Ford GT Bonnet lock down semi fitted Repainted the engine bay now it’s all one colour & looks great! All the body washers we’re painted in place after all the front panels we’re aligned & checked & tightened etc... You can barely see them but every bolt is now a stainless hex bolt (heads taped over for painting!) Bolt heads we're taped so no paint gets on them! Nice new Hemi Badges for the 265!! Close-up (good looking badges huh??) the Mightly 245/50/R16 Hankook Looking good!!!!! hehe Have to remove factory (AMG) 13mm thick wheel spacer I think! Do these make my ass look big???? No the tailgate does though!!!!!!! hahaha wide buggers for a wagon! Mmmmmmm Doughnuts!!!!! Mmmm wide rubber!!! :) Final Rubdown in some spots again final spots rubbed down GLOSS GLOSS & MORE GLOSS WITH THE CLEAR!!!! Nearly finished Now in a freah coat of blue & clear this arvo!

The Spaying of the Blueprint begins! :) Inner frames To roof lining have now been done in 1st base coat of blueprint (better than beige!) remaining beige beneath (inc wheel arches) are to be covered in dark grey carpet RHS door pillars & outer sill along with The Tailgate surround has received 3 layers of blue & are both ready for clear-coat Hinges & dash vents finished inc clear coat ready to go on! Tailgate, bonnet scoop & glove box lid in finished coat awaiting clear-coat. Both Quarter panels in base coat (its nearly finished!!) all door apertures in finish coats ready for clear. Roof get base coat in 2 days time I love how the pearl make it look white / really ligh blue with the sun light on it!! God I love this color!!! All door & Tailgate hinges got sprayed blue, ready 4 clear also! Airfoil given a base coat Dash in it’s top coat (I wasn’t happy with the previous coat) now Ready 4 clear! Airfoil trail fitted (wasn't the original!) Roof copped a really quick base coat! Roof in first base coat of Blueprint!!!!!! Its so close now to being finished it’s not funny!!! It gets its second coat tomorrow & front plenum chamber (in front of windscreen) gets its base coats tomorrow also (wasn’t happy with a few bits on it still!) Final imperfections eliminated! Still outside!! Just before it was “powered” back inside It ventured outside for a quick wash down & a few pics! Whilst it was drying we had a neighbour tell us “Dam that thing’s Bright!!” Note: Front Guards just sat temp’ in place Tailgate ready for a 3rd coat but not before I had to modify it for the lock cover!!!

Besides from the bonnet getting the R/T scoop we had to be difficult & add a Reproduction Ford Bonnet lock-down kit off an XY (It never ends with custom touches!) Trail fit bonnet lock down kit Filler used to even out pane Fibregalss used to even up repaired & rust free lower quarters 2mm only! New replacement rubber seal channel, & it’s rusted predecessor barely still attached Pink is spot putty more direct for scratches etc.. Than high-fill at this stage Primered! Yeah not long till it’s Painted now!! Engine bay in primer Yeah No Green!! High-fill over imperfections in engine bay Quarter Panels in Primer & high-fill ready for preliminary prep’ work Tailgate seal holder (a rust free one) in place Quarter Panels in Primer & high-fill ready for preliminary prep’ work 8 6.5 Carbon Fibre woofer part of front splits 8 Inch top of subby! top of 6.5 side of 6.5 8 A non green guard (original was a rusted bent piece of crap!) Right hand guard wasn’t much better! It had previous dents bogged!! Has now been repaired properly! during prep & in primer awaiting a coat of high-fill

From a rusted out totally missing sill panel & reinforcement sections LHS in front of wheel arch RHR door sill section Rust cut out (there literally was NO sill section left here! Windscreen removed & surprise more rust! This one goes through to the scuttle panel! Oh well more work! Kevs quite frank reply when asked ford or holden man! Before we stated cutting it out! Oh goodie more Tin-worn! Again LHS rear of arch this time! Don’t worry RHS one looks as bad! totally new fabricated pieces (welds yet to be dressed with grinder) RHR Lower Quarter panel now rust free piece has just been welded in! Chassis Stands get tested & pass with flying colors! We kicked the car while the old man was under it! (he survived.. Oh well next time) hehe! Oh look he’s saying I love GPRS their great!!!! U dick Next in line! This panel has had to be removed just to access the rust we use only 1mm cutting disks so we only have a minimal gap when weld the panel back in!

This is the Hole in the RHR door sill!! Yikes! Tailgate was a disaster & should have been scrapped (but we love a challenge!) To this!!!! What a bloody great transformation & example of our rust repairs My lower tailgate section is well.... completely stuffed would be an understatement! So we got this great reproduction panel from Craig Vayne in QLD Ph/Fax (07) 4122 3921 for $30!! What we started with!! More rust (tailgate was a joke But we saved it!!!) From this rusty piece of crap that was ready to be scrapped as a S/H replacement was $400-800!! We also got a new sill section for the drivers side ($35!!) as it too is long gone to car cancer! But we have the know how & the technology to rebuild him.... More parking dints removed ( we love people that take care of their vehicles!) The donor CM (interior & engine & trans!) 7/81 CM regal (rusted beyond repair!)
